Hi my name is Lisa, I am the creator and confectioner behind Patissier Confiserie Cakes & Confectionery.
I live and work in NSW with my husband and two children, and have been selling through Madeit for about 18 months now.
I am a qualified chef and have worked in renowned restaurants and other catering establishments in Sydney over the years, but I always dreamed of having a niche business of my own.
My passion for confectionery developed at a young age, I was influenced by my grandmother who often made her own sweets. Making confectionery has since become my fulltime career, enabling me utilise the experience and knowledge I have gained in the industry.
Sugar is definitely one amazing ingredient that grants you freedom to produce so many delicious and colourful delights. I can create endless tastes and textures; crisp, soft, chewy, crunchy. It’s a sensory overload.
Confectionery is timeless, it can be used as a way to invent and reinvent, and conjure up incredibly vivid memories with every bite, making you feel like a kid again.
Using the Madeit site has been an exciting opportunity to showcase and sell my handmade confectionery online. It brings together a wide community of producers, along with their creative ideas and skills.
