I am Celine and outside of my hobby as a passionate designer and knitter, I work as a Counsellor and Support Worker in Mental Health. I am a single mother raising two amazing tween boys and a little cheeky dog - we named him Nitro. In my household, it is always a little hectic but I love every part of it and wouldn’t change it for a thing. I have found creating and knitting helps me to relax, being a big believer in self-care.
WoofandWoolAu came about when friends on social media wanted me to design a special piece for their pets after seeing Nitro wearing his unique sweaters, beanies, snoods, and scarfs in vibrant colours and designs.
I have over 20 years experience as a designer and knitter, selling various products online at different platforms with great success. My focus since January 2022 has fully turned to the birth of WoofandWoolAu.
My work is inspired by vibrant colour combinations that bring out the personality of your pet.
I enjoy the whole process from sourcing only quality luxury wool to turning it into an amazing piece that offers quality and practicality that pooches can wear. Every item I have knitted is unique, allowing me to have a creative outlet and offering pets a variety of amazing colours and designs without compromising on fashion because - let’s face it - our pets are an extension of our style, our taste, our vibe.
I have always been fascinated by the fact that a strand of wool and two sticks can produce such amazing garments. There is no limit to what I can create and I love that there is such a space for creativity.
There is nothing more special than handmade items as they come from a place of well thought out artistic space. They are a labour of love and an extension of your creativity put into an item.
Personally, this creative outlet takes me to a place of calmness from a busy lifestyle and stressful job.
I am new to Madeit and I have loved what it represents; unique handmade gifts made in Australia. This sits well with me because I am big believer in supporting local and small businesses, people like you and me.
I am familiar with different online platforms in fact I’ve been on all of them in my last 20 years, but I felt it’s time to change to an online platform that truly celebrate their local artist. Choosing Madeit was the best decision I have ever made and I can’t wait to begin my WoofandWoolAu journey here.
