Be enchanted, inspired or merely love the style. Ensorcell Creations began with the hope of connecting with people and painting for the love of it. I’m Breanna Torralba, the solo artist behind the magic.
To put it simply, I paint. I have done so since I was a little girl. Most of the time I work with acrylic paints; dabbling in abstract, impressionism, and experimental styles. Several months ago, I came across Madeit and it has been a great way to share my passion for painting, seeing other wonderful creators, and supporting smaller businesses.
I grew up in Asia, living in Myanmar and Malaysia before moving to Melbourne. I live with my loving husband and my little baby girl. Aside from looking after our dear daughter, I enjoy reading, writing, and playing video games (along with my husband) in my free time. If given the chance, I love spending time with family.
The majority of my artwork is created at home. Due to a small apartment, I’m using a tiny space in our living/dining room area. It works well for what I need and allows me to keep an eye on my little one as I work.
My process and thinking for my painting can be extemporaneous. Many times, I go with the flow and what I’m feeling, working (experimenting) with colours that speak to me. If I had to sum up what inspires me, it would be fantasy environments mixed with a bit of reality. When I paint, a story attaches itself to the piece, giving it meaning and depth.
Painting has always been a part of who I am. It gives me peace, and I find it relaxing and fulfilling. I have now been seriously painting for the last couple of years as I am able to have a bit more time and create pieces when I choose, especially while I was pregnant and since I moved on from my kindergarten job.
I love creating original paintings. They are enjoyable to make and I am always quite delighted to see the outcomes. Mind you, challenges do present themselves - like writer’s block, but with coloured pictures - but this is part of the process and builds me up to be a better artist.
