The finished mittens - The Frosty Daze Mittens - are available for purchase.
Suggested Super Bulky Yarn (Malabrigo Rasta) - Approx 70 yards for a Small-Medium size. Approx 75 yards for a Medium-Large size. You will also need a piece of scrap yarn in a contrasting color of approx 4” in length.
These mittens are knit in the round on a set of 3 double pointed needles (US 10.5 / 6.5mm). However for larger size (or if you are a tight knitter) you can use a set of 3 double pointed needles (US 11 / 8mm).
Pattern is written showing 2 sizes - normal and larger mittens.
Skill Level - Advanced Beginner.
Skills required - cast on, bind off, kfb (knit through front and back loop), K2tog (knit 2 together). The thumb is created by using scrap yarn - detailed instructions and photos are provided. This pattern is a perfect one for your first time knitting mittens with thumbs as they are knitted on after the rest of the mitten is finished. It’s so easy !!
